Elon Musk decided to privatize 15% of SpaceX, a company whose goal is to explore and develop the space business. Permanent stations on the southern part of the Moon, deployment of more satellites for the ‘Starlink’ network, development of the ‘orbital Computers – data centers in space’ concept, among others, he is valuing SpaceX between 1.5 – 2 trillion USD. This event caused strong demand for all companies that have businesses related to ‘space’, leading to a significant appreciation of these assets.

All S&P 500 companies have already reported results for the 1st quarter of 2026. Surprisingly, earnings grew 25% compared to last year, and revenues grew 11%, with 68% of companies exceeding expectations in both categories. By sector, Technology and Computers stood out with a 54% growth in earnings and 25% in revenues, revealing a strong trend in the adoption of artificial intelligence.

Stock markets in May had a positive performance, with the MSCI – World appreciating by 4%, with worse results for Europe and better for the USA. Meanwhile, bond markets were negative in the USA, with a decline of 0.7%, and unchanged in Europe.

The increase in fuel prices, due to the blockage of the Strait of Hormuz, has resulted in a rise in inflation. Currently, it is 3.8% in the USA and 3.0% in Europe. This seems to be a “New Normal,” making it inevitable that Central Banks will have to raise interest rates if fuel prices do not return to the 60-70 USD range in the short term. This scenario is favorable to the stock market (except for small caps) at the expense of the bond market.
